The representatives of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Serbia to UNESCO participated at the 8th session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which was held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, from September 8 to 10, 2020. The session was dedicated to the consideration of a number of important issues in the domain of this Convention, including the adoption of the Declaration on support to Lebanon. The Republic of Serbia attaches great importance to this Convention and so far has inscribed three elements on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (Slava - celebration of family saint patron’s day, traditional folk dance „Kolo“ and singing to the accompaniment of the Gusle).
